Abstract |
EPA created the Environmental Justice through Pollution Prevention (EJP2) grant program to support pollution prevention advances in environmental justice communities. EPA believed pollution prevention is the best technique to address environmental problems because it refocuses efforts from pollution control to preventing degradation from happening. It funded a wide range of organizations, communities including urban and rural areas, tribes, ethnic groups and the poor interested in environmental justice and identified environmental problems. |
