Abstract |
The results of an emissions inventory for the State of Ohio are presented. The purposes of the study were: (1) to determine the quantities of five air pollutants emitted in Ohio; (2) to calculate point and area source emission quantities; (3) locate sources on maps of gridded areas; (4) summarize and tabulate the results for use in developing an implementation plan for Ohio. The survey which included the entire State of Ohio concerned the following pollutants: particulates; sulfur oxides; nitrogen oxides; carbon monoxide; and hydrocarbons. Air pollution emissions were divided into eight source categories. The Universal Transverse Mercator System (UTM) was used as the reference system for grid delineation. (Author) |
