Abstract |
This report analyzes data relating to the atmospheric dispersion of SO2 from the TVA Paradise Steam Plant in Western Kentucky, U.S.A. Extensive hourly air quality measurements for 1971 are compared with predicted values, obtained by using the well-known steady-state short-term Gaussian plume model for dispersion from an elevated point-source release. The comparison is in terms of annual average concentration values and the frequency distributions of the hourly values at five monitoring stations in the vicinity of the electric-power generating plant. |
