Abstract |
The document describes the Ash Sampling Program that will be conducted at selected combustion sources under Tier 4 of the National Dioxin Study. Flue gas ash samples will be collected and analyzed for 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,3,7,8 TCDD), tetra- through octa-polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), and tetra- through octa-polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF). The activities that will be performed by EPA's Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards, the EPA Regional Offices, State and local agencies, and the EPA contractor, Radian Corporation, in the program are identified. Specific guidance is provided for the organizations that will perform the field sampling in the program. |
