Abstract |
In analysis of pesticide residues in water the greatest difficulty at present is the lack of a good practical method to extract and concentrate the residues from water. The report is concerned with the attempt to improve presently available methods. The method studied here was partition chromatography with 'anchored' stationary phases; that is, the stationary phases bonded chemically to a solid support. Pesticide recovery using this method was found to be unsatisfactory; however, it is believed that partition and countercurrent chromatography still offer the best methods for this purpose and deserve further investigation.
