Abstract |
An experimental 500 1b/hr multi-burner pulverized-coal fired furnace was utilized to determine the effects of several combustion modifications on nitrogen oxides emissions. Techniques investigated were reduced excess air, staged combustion, flue gas recirculation to both primary and secondary combustion air streams, and combinations of all techniques.
