Abstract |
The purpose of this field test program was to collect data to assess the ability of commercially available Hg CEMS to provide reliable and accurate data over an extended time period, while meeting certification, durability, data availability, and setup/ maintenance requirements. In particular, data were collected to assess the ability of the Hg CEMS to satisfy the requirements of Performance Specification 12A (PS-12A) and the 40 CFR Part 75 mercury monitoring provisions (FR 5/18/05, 70(95), 28606). This report presents a summary of the certification test results and other information collected from November 2004, through September 2005. The test facility was a coal-fired utility boiler burning eastern bituminous coal and equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system with ammonia injection that is operated during ozone season (May 1 through September 30), an electrostatic precipitator, and a wet limestone scrubber. |
