Abstract |
Because air emissions from waste management operations pose a threat to human health and the environment, regulations have been developed to control organic air emissions from these operations. RCRA standards limit organic air emissions as a class from process vents and equipment leaks at hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities requiring a permit under Subtitle C of RCRA. Standards promulgated under the Clean Air Act (CAA) limit emissions of benzene from benzene waste operations. The seminar publication will help improve understanding of the air rules that apply to waste management operations, focusing on control technologies and the RCRA and CAA regulations. |
