Abstract |
The Survey Research Center at the University of Maryland at College Park conducted a survey of residents of counties in the watershed of the Chesapeake Bay. The target population for this telephone survey was adults age 18 or older residing in telephone households in the watershed of the Chesapeake Bay. The goal of the study was to provide baseline data on the attitudes, behaviors and opinions of the residents about pollution, water quality, funding, and clean-up efforts for the Bay and its tributaries. Therefore, the data represents both the entire Chesapeake Bay watershed and the individual jurisdictions. The survey was conducted from October 6, 1993 through January 27, 1994 and 2,004 respondents were interviewed. The margin of error for the overall data is between 2 and 3 percent. |
