Abstract |
Five batch-fed bench scale digesters and one continuous feed digester were used to demonstrate the treatability of pre-prepared rice production wastewater by an anaerobic-contact digestion system. It was demonstrated that COD removals of 92 percent can be obtained by high rate anaerobic digestion having a solids retention time of less than 4 days. The report briefly describes the operating conditions and results. |
