Abstract |
The report gives results of a determination of collection characteristics for charged and uncharged particles in cascade impactors. Impaction collection efficiency was shown to be as much as 20 percent greater for charged particles than for uncharged particles with certain substrates at a given value of the impaction parameter Kp, using a University of Washington impactor. Collection on greased substrates remained relatively unchanged. |
