Abstract |
This report describes the laboratory effort toward evaluation of a three-way catalyst and feedback fuel system with a heavy-duty gasoline engine. Described are the efforts toward obtaining a suitable feedback fuel system and the very limited test results obtained using the subsequently selected throttle-body fuel injection system. Average emissions values, with the systems only partially otimized, were 0.52 HC, 7.5 CO, and 3.4 NOX in grams per kilowatt-hour (0.39, 5.6, and 2.5 g/hp-hr). |
