Abstract |
This document summarizes the carbon monoxide literature related to effects on man and his environment for the consideration of the Environmental Protection Agency in updating the information in the Air Quality Criteria for Carbon Monoxide. It emphasizes recent major advances in our knowledge of carbon monoxide: chemical reactions in air; biologic effects on man; problems in monitoring urban concentrations and relating such data to the exposure of populations; data concerning the identification of susceptible populations; and evidence implicating carbon monoxide as a causal factor of disease. |
