Abstract |
Acute dermal toxicity was evaluated in 6 female SPF Wistar rats receiving single occluded applications of paratertiary butylbenzoic acid at a dose level of 2000 mg/kg of body weight. The test article was held in contact with the intact skin for a period of 24 hours. Mortality was observed within 14 days of treatment in 1 animals; the LD50 was determined to be greater than 2000 mg/kg of body weight. Clinical observations included disequilibrium problems and no signs of irritation. Weight loss was noted in some of the animals. Gross necropsy was not reported. |
