Abstract | The mutagenicity of Frigen 113 (1,1,2-trichloro- 1,2,2-trifluoroethane) was evaluated in Salmonella tester strains TA98, TA100, TA1537, and TA1538 (Ames Test), both in the presence and absence of added metabolic activation by Aroclor-induced rat liver S9 fraction. The material was tested for mutagenicity at a concentration of 10% (v/v) using the dessicator method. Frigen 113 did not cause a reproducible positive response in any of the bacterial tester strains, either in the presence or absence of added metabolic activation. |
