Abstract |
Storage brines and processing waters from the production of canned and glass packed olives were treated with activated carbon. The reuse potential of reconditioned brines was evaluated. Reconditioned concentrated storage brines can be used to store freshly harvested olives for several months. Reconditioned brines of lower salt content were reused with no detectable effect on the quality of the final product. |
