Contents Notes
EPA-RTP Management Council and The Environmental Cutting Edge Speakers Series Committee host a panel discussion on biomimicry. This cutting-edge field seeks to promote sustainability by studying how nature, through billions of years of "trial-and-error experimentation," has developed elegant solutions to complex problems. While researchers seek to apply nature's principles across a broad spectrum of disciplines, our panel will focus on energy and food production, and architecture. Panelists include: Mr. Chris Brasier (Vice President, Clark Nexsen and Director of Duke University's Architectural Engineering Certificate Program), Dr. Orlin Velev (Professor, NCSU Dept. of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering), and Dr. Will Hooker (Professor, NCSU Dept. of Horticultural Science).
