Abstract |
The body of information presented in this paper is directed to environmental scientists and engineers and to those land managers who will be involved in assessing the effects of energy conversion activities on the environment. A prototype investigation of the bioenvironmental effects of air pollution challenge from coal-conversion facilities is summarized. Objectives, rationale, and the overall design of this research are presented. Recommendations regarding the selection of suitable criteria of environmental damage are also made. The authors hope this paper will serve to stimulate thought and discussion that will lead to a predictive capability in the area of bioenvironmental impact assessment. |
