Abstract |
The report describes the status as of May 1951 of the comprehensive water pollution control program conducted by the Pennsylvania Sanitary Water Board in the Juniata River Basin, a sub-basin of the Susquehanna River Basin. It sets forth information about the ways the water resources of the area are used, the pollution entering those water resources and the resulting damages, the benefits which may result from pollution prevention and abatement, pollution prevention measures in effect, and those which appear to be needed. Its scope is limited to surface water pollution control. Ground water pollution has not been considered in the report although usage of ground water is mentioned. (Author) |
