Abstract | A field survey, designed for the purpose of determining the source, extent, and significance of bacterial pollution of the Back River Estuary, was conducted in November 1965 by the Chesapeake Field Station of the Chesapeake Bay-Susquehanna River Basins Project, in cooperation with State and local public works and health agencies. Significant water quality problems indicated by survey findings are discussed. |
