Abstract
This report provides a sampling and analysis method for the determination of releasable asbestos in soils and bulk materials. Samples are collected in a manner suitable for providing representative measurements of the releasable fraction of asbestos in the matrix sampled, prepared using a dust generator, and analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Guidelines for constructing the required dust generator are also included.
