Abstract | The report describes various physical-chemical treatment techniques used in water pollution control. The manual is intended to familiarize personnel concerned with selection, design, operation, and evaluation of these procedures. Four areas are discussed: Thermal pollution (Sources, theory, and control); Solids liquid separation (Sedimentation, settling, flotation, etc.); Miscellaneous unit processes (Oxidation, ammonia removal, and neutralization); and Sludge dewatering and disposal. |
