Abstract | The U.S. EPA is investigating real-time monitoring techniques for formaldehyde. One of these is the Methanalyzer, Model 9801P, produced as a commercial prototype formaldehyde monitor at AnalTech, Inc. The instrument response to formaldehyde is linear with a method detection limit of 0.2 ppbV. The instrument is operated in a cyclic mode alternately sampling zero air (7 min) and ambient air (3 min) in order to account for a zero drift that amounts to 0.3 ppbV/deg C. |
