Abstract | Review of the effects of ozone upon vegetation and materials in an attempt to justify the establishment of national secondary ambient air quality standards for ozone. The report concludes that ozone standards should be set on the basis of its effects on vegetation, particularly economically important crops, where effects are well documented rather than upon its potential for causing materials damage. Provides analyses of alternative sets of ozone standards. Recommended standard proposed is .08 ppm. |
