Abstract |
The guidance document is designed to clarify the statutory and regulatory requirements for MACT determinations as required by Section 112(j) of the Clean Air Act (the Act) as amended in 1990. It sets forth procedures for determining emission limitations based on maximum achievable control technology for major sources who are required to apply for a new Title V permit, revise an existing permit, or apply for a Notice of MACT approval because the promulgation deadline for a MACT standard was missed by greater than 18 months for an applicable source category. |
