Abstract | The purpose of the project was to investigate the interstate transport of air pollutants in the New York-New Jersey area. Small amounts of an identifiable simulated atmospheric pollutant (fluorescent zinc cadmuim sulfide tracer material) were released in one State and recovered in the other. The interstate-transfer potential of air pollutants, in both directions, between the States of New Jersey and New York was clearly demonstrated. Dispersal patterns and flight paths of the tracer material were determined. |
