Abstract | A three-part water quality status report based on the work of the Calumet Area Surveillance Project of the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration is presented. Part I evaluates the progress made in the Calumet area (Indiana-Illinois) as of June 30, 1966, reporting on the Grand Calumet River, Indiana Harbor Canal, Indiana Harbor, Little Calumet River, Wolf Lake, and Calumet Harbor. Part II evaluates the bacteriological quality at eight Lake Michigan beaches and one on Wolf Lake. Part III reports on the status of the surveillance project and its future prospectus. |
