Abstract | In this work a new approach is described for the generation of monodisperse aerosols which are presently of interest for all kinds of medical and air pollution research, including evaluating aerosol sampling and measuring equipment, air cleaner evaluation, and for interrelated studies. The method presented here, which has been explored during the past two years, makes use of a transpiration-cooled anode in a high intensity arc. (Modified author abstract) |
