Abstract | The Environmental Protection Agency has under way a study of an airport noise regulation to establish a mechanism for limiting the noise exposure in communities around airports. The regulation may take many forms, but will include the options of quieting the source, modifying the airport operational plan, and land use remedies. The purpose of this study is to characterize, in depth, the many facets of monitoring that might be utilized in the implementation of an airport noise regulation. |
