Abstract | This report estimates the cost to Illinois economy of complying with acid rain control legislation that would require an eight million ton reduction in sulfur dioxide within the 31 most eastern states. It is a strictly provential cost analysis; no benefits were included. Comprehensive impacts on Illinois economy were calculated using the Illinois Forecasting and Simulation Model, an econometric model of the state economy developed by Regional Economic Models, Inc. of Amherst, Massachusetts. |
