Abstract |
The Shell Flue Gas Treatment process was evaluated in a pilot-scale test for reducing simultaneously the emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from flue gas produced in a coal-fired utility boiler. Flue gas leaving the economizer at about 400 degrees C with a full load of fly ash is contacted with a copper-on-alumina acceptor/catalyst in a parallel passage reactor. |
