Abstract |
The calculation of retention times for temperature programmed serially linked capillary gas chromatography columns is demonstrated. Equations are derived for the verification of operating conditions via internal standards and for the precise calculation of mid-point pressure corresponding to a given relative retentivity. The predicted retention times for 23 volatile organic compounds are compared to experimental results. |
