This protocol describes two procedures for assaying the concentration of compressed gas calibration standards and for certifying that the assayed concentrations are traceable to a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Standard Reference Material (SRM). This protocol is mandatory for certifying the compressed gas calibration standards used for the pollutant monitoring that is required by the regulations of 40 CFR Parts 50, 58, 60 and 75 for the calibration and audit of ambient air quality analyzers and continuous emission monitors.
