Abstract |
Predictive models have been designed to investigate plant-water distribution coefficients and to study the dynamics of chemical accumulation in aquatic plant organs. Initial model testing has been completed in laboratory studies using two chlorinated benzenes and three species of aquatic plants. The results indicate that the proposed modeling framework can be used to estimate the potential for contamination of tissues by neutral chemicals during aqueous exposures. |
