Abstract | During fiscal year 1995 (FY95), the last few tests of the Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) demonstration of the pulse combustion burner technology developed by Sonotech, Inc. were completed, with subsequent data evaluation efforts carried through to test report submittal. In addition, two new major test programs were completed. The first was a direct-fired thermal desorption treatability study on two pesticide-contaminated soils from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. This test program was supported by Argonne National laboratory. The second was a series of demonstration tests of 10 prototype continuous emission monitors (CEMs) for measuring concentrations of trade metals, mercury, trace volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and trace semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in incinerator flue gas. The program was supported by the Environmental Technology Initiative. |
