"This paper describes a serial-dilution apparatus designed to deliver continuously a series of different concentrations of a material in water. The materials needed for construction normally would be available in a chemistry laboratory. No electrical power is needed for operation, and the apparatus will remain accurate even if the influent waterflow varies over a wide range. It maintains accuracy of 10 percent or less for periods of time up to 30 days or more with very little servicing or adjustment, and the cost is $50 or less."--Page v. |
