Abstract |
In recent years, activated sludge plants utilizing aerobic digestion for destruction of waste solids have been increasingly used for small installations. If satisfactory operation of the plant is to be maintained, excess sludge must be removed from the digester at regular intervals for ultimate disposal. The principal objective of the project was to determine how an aerobic digester should be operated so that maximum drying rates of the waste sludge on open-air beds can be realized. |
