Abstract |
A study using fluid modeling to determine good-engineering-practice (GEP) stack height for a power plant installation is discussed. Measurements are presented to describe the simulated boundary layer structure, plume dispersion characteristics in the absence of the model plant building, and the maximum ground-level concentration of effluent downstream of the source, both with and without the model plant building. Analysis of the maximum ground-level concentration shows that, in this case, a stack height of 64.1m meets the current GEP criteria for 100% plant load conditions. |
