The purpose of the present research is to develop a methodology and associated software tools to perform statistical analyses on avaliable fine resolution gridded model results in order to quantify the subgrid pollutant variability not represented in current regional air quality models. Desired products include, but are not limited to, pollutant probability density functions (pdfs) for use in human exposure models and new parameterizations to represent subgrid pollutant variability in regional air quality prediction systems. The current specific goal is to determine pollutant pdf characteristics and paramters to be used as input to the Hazardous air Pollutant Exposure Model (HAPEM).
