Abstract |
Ashford's 1981 paper in BIOMETRICS provides a framework for interpreting the joint action of mixtures of drugs. These concepts are applied to the situation in which the mechanism of three drugs are fairly well understood and mixtures of pesticides and drugs are studied to aid in the understanding of the mechanism of certain types of pesticides. Laboratory data is fit by nonlinear regression to models suggested by Ashford's paper. The conclusions drawn from fitting these models and the implication of the design of experiments for further studies are discussed. |
