Abstract |
Stanford Research Institute was asked to conduct a literature review and to make extensive tabulations of measured concentration of all pollutants found in metropolitan atmospheres in connection with air pollution investigations. These results, which comprised the first phase of the study, were to be related to broad class intervals of population increments and to the fuel and industrial economies. The second phase of the study involved selection of a complete pollution simulant formulation representative of the average maximum concentrations of all known atmospheric pollution components. Methodology, techniques, and equipment for preparation, sampling, and assay of the proposed test formulation were to be created for use in connection with a static test chamber held at a slight negative pressure. |
