Abstract |
On March 8-9, 1996, 269 people attended the Delmarva Coastal Bay Watersheds Conference in Ocean City, Maryland. The purpose of the conference was to provide a forum for citizens, elected and appointed officials and other decision makers, and special interest representatives to discuss the economic and environmental state of the Delmarva coastal watersheds and to determine further continuing actions and activities. The design of the conference provided a unique opportunity for citizens in the Delmarva region to express their ideas and to apply their collective wisdom to begin to formulate strategies that will integrate economic, environmental, scientific and social considerations toward achieving a sustainable future. |
