Abstract |
The importance of plants as sources of photoreactive hydrocarbons, oxidant precursors, is widely discussed. The two main questions appear to be: (1) are natural hydrocarbons emissions large enough to result in significant atmospheric concentrations (2) do naturally emitted hydrocarbons contribute significantly to ozone formation. This note addresses the first question. |
