Abstract |
The article gives results of an evaluation of the performance of the cold pipe precharger, taking a more rigorous approach than had been previously taken. The approach required detailed descriptions of electrical characteristics, electro-hydrodynamics, and charging theory. The computed size-dependent particle charge showed good agreement with experimental data, indicating that the developed model is capable of providing good evaluations of the cold pipe precharger. |
