Abstract | A report on a survey of lead levels at 1,484 customer locations throughout the American Water System is presented. The evaluation indicates there is a general association between higher lead levels and several factors, e.g., pH, plumbing age, electrical grounding. Equally significant is the observation that the lead levels at specific sites, or within specific systems, cannot be predicted on the basis of these factors. |
