Abstract | The main objective of the study has been to investigate river BOD abnormalities, limiting consideration, however, to the effect of the BOD rate. In this study a distinction has been made between the biochemical reaction rate K sub 1 of laboratory studies, and the river reduction rate k sub r which is determined from 5-day BOD samples taken at river sampling stations, and from a knowledge of the time of passage between sampling stations. |
