Abstract |
A two-phase investigation was made into the feasibility and practicality of thermionic topping as applied to a coal-fired central power station. The work included a comparison analysis of a modern station to indicate the inherent advantages of thermionic topping and an experimental and materials effort to establish the guide lines for fabrication of the thermionic converters and selection of materials specifically required by the thermionic plant. |
