Abstract |
A report is presented which deals with collection of particles on drops using electric fields. The first objective of the project was a review of what has been reported through patents and in formal literature relating to the use of drops and electric fields in particulate control. Also presented is a survey which classifies the devices according to the type of interaction between drops and particles. A sketch of fundamental models appropriate to each class of interaction is given. Also reported is an assessment of needed research and an identification of promising types of devices. (Author) |
