Abstract |
The proceedings includes 22 papers on topics related to the development and application of computer-based mathematical models for water quality and quantity management. Several papers deal with using stormwater and water quality models on microcomputers and interfacing microcomputer software such as spread sheets and data base managers with these models. Specific programs discussed include the Storm Water Management Model, DABRO, HSPF, a simplified water quality program, HAZPRED, QUAL-TX, and OTTSWMM. Other papers discuss statistical properties of point and nonpoint pollutant sources, particularly highway runoff and the effectiveness of detention/retention basins for mitigating pollution. Two papers discuss trophic state models in lakes and reservoirs. |
