Abstract |
Water column samples were taken at stations around two production platforms and near a well jacket and flare stack in the Buccaneer Oil Field during summer, fall, winter and spring periods (1978-1979). Large seasonal variations in the suspended load of the water column were observed. During the winter, concentrations of total suspended matter (TSM) were significantly higher than in other seasons. The Buccaneer Field productions platforms do not measurably alter the bulk composition of suspended particulates or biological activity in their immediate vicinity. |
